Persian Culture

The Persians are Muslim and they believe in one God, just like we do as Catholics. They refer to God as Allah. In the Rubaiyat it teaches that you never really know when your life will end so you should live it to the fullest because you can't go back in time. "The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on." In the story, The Manners of Kings, it teaches that you should treat everyone equal and with respect just as you want to be treated with respect.

Flood stories

The Gilgamesh Flood and the Bible Flood are similar. In both stories a flood occurs that washes out mankind. In the Bible flood story Noah built a boat for himself and in Gilgamesh Utpishtamn did that same too.
